Opinion | Do not defame farmers who are out in the open braving harsh winter

At a time when people in the National Capital Region are shivering in winter, with a minimum temperature of 3.5 degree Celsius, and with cold, icy winds blowing across Delhi, thousands of farmers from Punjab, Haryana and UP are staying in the open as the dharna entered the 23rd day. They cook their food in the open, eat at ‘langars’ and sleep inside trucks and trolleys.

Delhi Metro to go driverless! PM Modi likely to flag off first driverless train on December 25

Prime Minister Narendra Modi may flag off the country's first driverless metro train later this month in the national capital, official sources said on Thursday. Coronavirus tally in India rises to 99.79 lakh; total recoveries cross 95 lakh-mark

With 22,890 new coronavirus infections in a day, India's COVID-19 caseload rose to 99.79 lakh. While total recoveries crossed the 95 lakh-mark with 31,087 new discharges in the last 24 hours. Now, the total COVID-19 cases mounted to 99,79,447 and the total number of recovered patients stands at 95,20,827, as per the Union Health Ministry's updated data released on Friday.
