NBA welcomes 12 week suspension of TV ratings

The News Broadcasters Association (NBA) on Thursday welcomed the decision of the BARC to suspend the measurement of television viewership ratings of news channels for a period of twelve weeks. NBA, which represents the news broadcasters, believes that the suspension is an important step in the right direction. Gurugram cinemas reopen on Friday: Tickets to cost 75% less, 6 shows on Day 1

The audience will have to wait for one more day to watch films in the cinema halls in Gurugram as the PVR and other managements have decided to start operations from Friday. The ticket prices have been reduced by 75 per cent to woo the audience back. According to the management, six shows will be run at PVR on the first day.

Karnataka issues guidelines to firecracker sellers ahead of Deepavali

Cinema halls continue to remain shut in Andhra Pradesh

Cinema halls and multiplex screens remained shut in Andhra Pradesh through the Centre permitted them to reopen to half capacity from Thursday under Unlock 5.0. Film exhibitors made it clear that they could not resume shows given the various constraints, primarily the steep maintenance costs.
