Amid the ongoing monsoon session of Parliament, the Lok Sabha passed the Indian Institutes of Management (Amendment) Bill, 2023 on July 28. The bill to amend the IIM Act of 2017 was introduced in the Upper House amid disruptions by opposition members over the Manipur violence issue.
