Afghanistan crisis: PM forms high-level group to monitor ground-level activities, say sources

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has formed a high-level group to monitor the situation in Afghanistan and oversee safe return of Indians, official sources said on Tuesday. The group comprises of External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, NSA Ajit Doval and a number of other senior officials who will be monitoring the ground situation in Afghanistan with a focus on India's immediate priorities.
