80 flights, several trains delayed after dense fog envelopes Delhi

As many as 80 flights were delayed on Saturday at the Indira Gandhi International Airport due to a layer of dense fog that has continued to blanket the Delhi skies for the last few days, informed sources. Meanwhile, several trains were also delayed as fog reduced the visibility affecting the schedule of trains and flights.

Dhankhar 'declines' Raghav Chadha's appointment as AAP leader in Rajya Sabha, party reacts

In a setback of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar "declined" the request put forth by Arvind Kejriwal, seeking the appointment of Raghav Chadha as the interim party leader in the Upper House, as per Parliament sources. Aam Aadmi Party sources, however, claimed Rajya Sabha officials have recommended some corrections in the letter sent to the Chairman for nominating Chadha as "interim leader" and the same would be taken into consideration.

Will find attackers of merchant navy ships even from depths of seas: Rajnath Singh

Talking tough against the drone strike on MV Chem Pluto and MV Sai Baba, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday said that strict action will be taken against those behind the attacks by finding them even from the "depths of seas." MV Chem Pluto with 21 Indian crew members, was struck by a drone about 217 nautical miles from Porbandar on Saturday following which both the Indian Navy and the Indian Coast Guard deployed a number of assets to assist the ship.
