Madhya Pradesh: Shivraj Cabinet's nod for promulgation of 'anti-love jihad' ordinance

The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet on Tuesday approved the Dharma Swatantrata (Religious Freedom) Ordinance, 2020 to check the rising cases of "love jihad" in the state. It has been sent to Governor for final assent.

Delhi's air quality improves to 'poor'; health experts urge locals to take extra precautions

The air quality in Delhi improved to the 'poor' from the 'very poor' category on Tuesday, the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR) said. The national capital's overall AQI stands at 280 said Ministry of Earth Science's SAFAR. India Meteorological Department (IMD) Scientist RK Jenamani on Monday said that the AQI of Delhi will be in the 'good' or 'poor' category up to January 02.

Anna Hazare to launch agitation in support of farmers in Delhi next month

Northwest India braces for bone-chilling New Year; temperature to drop by upto 5 deg C

Minimum temperatures across Northwest India are likely to fall by three to five degrees Celsius during the next three days. According to a bulletin by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), "After the passage of the western disturbance and under the influence of the consequent strengthening of cold and dry northwesterly/northerly lower-level winds: Fall in minimum temperatures by 3-5°C over Northwest India during next 3 days (29th-31st December) and slight rise by 2-3°C thereafter."
