The Congress on Thursday said Rahul Gandhi's 'Bharat Nyay Yatra' will be known as 'Bhatat Jodo Nyar Yatra'. The name change of the proposed yatra came days after the announcement by the Congress that Gandhi will hold a march from Manipur to Mumbai, passing through 14 states and 85 districts from east to west of India in 67 days, beginning January 14. However, Congress today said the yatra will cover 15 states.

COVID-19: India records 511 cases of new sub-variant JN.1 so far, five deaths in last 24 hours | DETAILS
Amid the rising number of coronavirus cases, a total of 511 cases of COVID-19 sub-variant JN.1 have been detected in the country till Tuesday (January 2). According to the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP), under the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), the country also reported five deaths due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

Pakistan, over decades, was trying to use cross-border terrorism to bring India to the table and used it as its “core policy”, which was made “irrelevant” by the Narendra Modi government, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has said. He emphasised that India would not deal with Pakistan on their terms in which “practice of terrorism is deemed as legitimate”, and indicated that the neighbouring country has to create a conducive environment free of terror.

Punjab shocker: Five of a family found dead at home in Jalandhar, suicide note recovered
In a shocking incident, at least five members of a family were found dead in their house in a village in Jalandhar district's Adampur. The local police on Sunday night found 59-year-old Manmohan Singh, his wife, his two daughters, and a three-year-old granddaughter dead. Singh's body was found hanging from a ceiling fan, while the others lay on a bed in the same room.

80 flights, several trains delayed after dense fog envelopes Delhi
As many as 80 flights were delayed on Saturday at the Indira Gandhi International Airport due to a layer of dense fog that has continued to blanket the Delhi skies for the last few days, informed sources.
