Assam: Forest ranger trampled to death, three others injured in elephant attack

Wild elephants killed a forest ranger and critically injured three personnel of the department in Assam's Jorhat district, an official said here on Saturday. The incident took place on Friday when the forest personnel led by the ranger of Mariani forest range launched an operation to push back a herd of wild elephants into the Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary as they were creating havoc at Bijoynagar in Titabor subdivision.

Mob tries to attack Manipur CM N Biren Singh’s ancestral house, security forces foil attempt | Watch video

Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar rides motorcycle on car-free day in Karnal to check pollution | WATCH VIDEO

In an attempt to promote the car-free day, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar reached Karnal Airport on a motorcycle on Tuesday. The video shows the Chief Minister riding a bullet on his way to the airport. This comes after he announced earlier this month that Tuesdays will now be designated as 'car-free' days in Karnal in a bid to check pollution. Along with the Chief Minister, the security personnel also reached the airport on motorcycles.
