Border row: India, China hold Major General level talks on LAC issues

India and China held Major General-level talks on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) issues on Saturday. The talks were held at Daulat Beg Oldie (DBO) and Chushul in eastern Ladakh. The Indian side was represented by Major General PK Mishra and Major General Hariharan, while the Chinese side was represented by Major General Liu Lin and Major General Zhang Jiansheng.

Kochi: IT professional wearing burqa enters women's washroom in mall, arrested

In a shocking incident, a 23-year-old IT professional was arrested for allegedly entering a women's toilet wearing a burqa in a mall in Kochi, Kerala, an official said on Thursday. The police said he entered the women's washroom to record videos of visitors for voyeurism on his mobile phone.

Monsoon rain widens cracks in Joshimath, 51 dead so far in Himachal after cloudburst | LIVE UPDATES

Himachal-Uttarakhand rain havoc: Incessant showers in Himachal Pradesh in the past 24 hours triggered landslides, blocking several roads, including the key Shimla-Chandigarh road which was closed for buses and trucks. A total of 48 people have lost their lives in Himachal Pradesh due to landslides and incessant rainfalls in the region. At least seven died after a cloudburst was reported at Jadon village of Kandaghat subdivision in Solan. According to reports, two houses and one cowshed were washed away in the incident. Meanwhile, nine people were killed after a Shiv temple in Himachal Pradesh's Shimla collapsed because of a heavy downpour on Monday. Several people are believed to be trapped in a landslide, and police and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) authorities are carrying out rescue operations.
