Ganga Vilas Cruise reportedly gets stuck in Bihar's Chhapra on third day of its journey I authorities deny

The world's longest luxury river cruise MV Ganga Vilas which was flagged off on Friday for its 3,200 km maiden journey, was reportedly stuck on the third day in Bihar's Chhapra. According to the officials, the giant vessel stuck due to shallow water in the Ganga. However, hours after the news broke out, the Inland Waterways Authority of India denied the reports and added the cruise reached Patna at its scheduled time.

Delhi hospital claims to have set world record for fastest hip replacement surgery

A hospital in the national capital on Saturday claimed to have performed the fastest hip replacement surgery in the world, managing the feat in just over 15 minutes. A team of doctors at Fortis Escorts Hospital, Okhla, conducted the hip-ball replacement surgery on an octogenarian patient in 15 minutes 35 seconds -- the shortest-known duration for such a surgery globally. Sumitra Sharma, an 86-year-old resident of Bihar's Gaya district, fractured her left hip (neck of femur) in a fall. She was brought to Delhi after three days.

Cuttack: One killed, over dozen critically injured following stampede at Odisha's Badamba-Gopinathpur T-bridge

Cuttack stampede: One person was killed and more than 20 others were injured as a stampede broke out on the Gopinathpur-Badamba T bridge over river Mahanadi in Cuttack district. The incident happened on Saturday during Makar Sankranti Mela. As per the reports, those who injured during the incident were admitted to a hospital in Badamba.
