Centre earned Rs 254 cr from disposing scrap, eased 588 rules: Jitendra Singh
The Centre has earned Rs 254.21 crore from scrap disposal besides easing 588 rules during the ongoing special cleanliness campaign, Union minister Jitendra Singh said on Tuesday. He said 40 lakh files have been reviewed and 37.19 lakh square feet of space freed so far. Singh, the Minister of State for Personnel, said tremendous enthusiasm is being witnessed in ministries/department for institutionalising Swachhata and minimising pendency.

DU to allow undergraduate candidates to upgrade their course, college from Wednesday
Delhi University will open a two-day window from Wednesday allowing those who gained admission in undergraduate courses to upgrade to their higher 'programme+college combination' preference, a senior official said. The upgrade option will not be available for those who have been allocated their first preference of course and college, the official said. The last date for payment of fees for admission to Delhi University's undergraduate programmes following the first round of seat allocation was October 25.
