1997 Uphaar cinema fire: A Delhi court on Tuesday ordered the release of real estate tycoons Sushil and Gopal Ansal against the jail term already undergone by them in a case of tampering with evidence in the case related to the 1997 Uphaar cinema fire, which had claimed 59 lives.

Maharshtra Covid: 1,111 cases today, no deaths; Mumbai adds 167

Delhi logs 378 new Covid cases today, two deaths

Delhi reported 378 new Covid cases and two deaths, according to data shared by the health department.  The positivity rate in the national capital was recorded at 6.06 per cent.  With this, the capital's COVID-19 caseload climbed to 19,44,393 while the death toll rose to 26,294, the bulletin stated.
