Manik Saha to be new Chief Minister of Tripura

BJP MP Manik Saha will be the new chief minister of Tripura. After Biplab Deb's resignation, MP Manik Saha was declared the new Chief Minister of Tripura on Saturday. Saha, aged 69, is a Rajya Sabha MP. Notably, the names of Union Minister and MP Pratima Bhowmik and Deputy CM Jishnu Dev, were doing rounds to be the next CM.

Chaos ensued at BJP's party office in Agartala today, as MP Manik Saha was named the next chief minister of Tripura. The announcement was made, shortly after Biplab Kumar Deb resigned from the post. The Tripura Trinamool Congress shared a video, where a scuffle broke out between BJP MLA Ram Prasad Paul and other ministers of the party, over a disagreement at Deb's resignation, and Saha being named the next CM. Paul also broke a few chairs before the situation was calmed, sources said.

Videography survey of Gyanvapi Masjid complex held peacefully, to resume tomorrow

Gyanvapi Masjid Complex: The videography survey of the Gyanvapi Masjid complex in Varanasi resumed on Saturday following a local court order was carried out without any interruption as all parties cooperated. The officials said that the survey work will continue tomorrow. The survey was stalled last week amid objections by the mosque committee, which claimed that the advocate commissioner appointed by the court for the survey did not have the mandate to film inside the premises. As per reports, many pillared stones, idols and urns were recovered in the survey today. Today, 4 basements were surveyed and many more are yet to be opened.
