'Violates fundamental right to privacy': Owaisi opposes proposal to link Aadhaar with Voter ID
AIMIM leader and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has opposed the government's proposal to link the Aadhaar number with Voter ID. Owaisi in a notice sent to the Lok Sabha Secretariat said that linking the two documents violates the fundamental right to privacy. He said that the 'House cannot interfere with the fundamental rights of the individual'.

Delhi shivers at 3.1 degrees Celsius, season's coldest day so far

India logs 6,563 COVID cases, over 8,000 recoveries in 24 hrs; active cases decline to 82,267
India recorded 6,563 new COVID-19 cases, along with 132 deaths due to the infection in the past 24 hours. According to the data shared by the Union Health Ministry on Monday, the country saw a total of 8,077 discharges, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,41,87,017.

Delhi: DDMA to hold review meeting today amid rising Omicron cases

Rohini court blast case: Accused DRDO scientist attempts suicide in jail
A senior Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) scientist who was arrested for "planting explosives" inside the Rohini district court allegedly attempted suicide by consuming hand wash in a washroom in police custody. The accused, Bharat Bhushan Kataria (47), is undergoing treatment at AIIMS and is completely stable.
