Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu on Sunday joined the guest teachers of the Delhi government in a protest outside CM Arvind Kejriwal's residence. The teachers are demanding permanent jobs from the Aam Aadmi Party government in the national capital.
The price of tomatoes has soared in Chennai and it is now being sold at Rs 100 per kilogram in the Koyambedu wholesale vegetable market. The price, which was Rs 90 per kilogram on Saturday, reached Rs 100 on Sunday.

Delhi reported its first case of new COVID-19 variant Omicron on Sunday, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain informed. The new variant was detected in a 37-year-old man who arrived in Delhi from Tanzania. He is currently admitted at the Lok Nayak Hospital and has mild symptoms.
