Fresh COVID-19 cases dropped to 3,382 in Kerala on Monday, raising the total caseload to 51,25,262. The state also recorded 117 deaths which raised the toll to 39,955, an official release said. Kerala had logged 4,350 cases on November 28.

Delhi: Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital now dedicated facility to treat 'Omicron' variant
The Delhi Health Department has designated Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital as the dedicated facility to treat patients testing positive for the new COVID-19 variant Omicron. The hospital has been asked to earmark wards for isolating and treating such patients. The department also said that no patient with the new variant will be denied admission to hospitals on any ground.

Omicron Scare: Chandigarh man who returned from South Africa tests Covid positive
A 39-year-old Chandigarh resident, who had returned from South Africa a few days ago, tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday and his sample will now be sent to Delhi for whole genome sequencing. One of his family members and a domestic help have also been found infected with the infection.
