Omicron variant: Karnataka releases fresh guidelines for international passengers. Details
In the wake of Omicron, the new COVID-19 variant, the Karnataka government on Monday announced fresh guidelines for international arrivals. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said the World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines will be followed in connection with the new strain. The prime minister and health minister have also recommended precautionary measures which will be followed, he said, adding Karnataka has initiated precautionary measures much earlier.

Maharashtra: Thane old age home COVID-19 patients stable; 15 samples sent for genome sequencing
The fifty-five inmates of an old age home in Maharashtra's Thane district and seven others who had tested positive for coronavirus were in a "stable" condition at a civil hospital here and samples of 15 of them were sent for genome sequencing, a health official said on Monday.
