Present leadership has forgotten key lesson of inclusivity: Shashi Tharoor

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on Wednesday criticised the BJP government for having "forgotten the key lesson of inclusivity". Speaking at the launch of his book, 'Pride, Prejudice, and Punditry', Tharoor said that it was a flaw of the parliamentary system that "creates opportunity for those who are divisive".

India, Russia looking at holding '2+2' dialogue alongside Modi-Putin summit

The first edition of India-Russia '2+2' defense and foreign ministerial dialogue may be held alongside a summit between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Vladimir Putin that is likely to take place on December 6, people familiar with the developments said on Wednesday. The two sides are looking at holding the '2+2' dialogue around the time of the summit primarily due to scheduling issues, they said. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh are scheduled to hold the dialogue with their Russian counterparts Sergey Lavrov and Sergey Shoygu.

India logs 10,197 COVID cases, over 12,000 recoveries in 24 hrs; active cases at 527-day low of 1.28 lakh

COVID-19 India Live News Updates: India recorded 10,197 new cases of the novel coronavirus, along with 301 deaths due to the infection in the past 24 hours.  According to the data shared by the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday, the country saw a total of 12,134 discharges in the last 24 hours, taking the total recovery rate at around 98.27 per cent which is the highest since March 2020 and total recoveries data reached to 3,38,73,890.
