BJP slams Salman Khurshid for comparing Hindutva to ISIS, Boko Haram in new book

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has slammed Congress leader Salman Khurshid for comparing Hindutva to radical jihadist groups like ISIS and Boko Haram in his new book. Senior BJP leader and IT cell chief Amit Malviya raked up the 'saffron terror' issue to say that the grand old party is drawing equivalence with Islamic jihad to get Muslim votes.

India logs 13,091 COVID cases, over 13,000 recoveries in 24 hrs; active cases at 266-day low of 1.38 lakh

India recorded 13,091 new cases of the novel coronavirus, along with 340 deaths due to the infection in the past 24 hours. According to the data shared by the Union Health Ministry on Thursday, the country saw a total of 13,878 discharges in the last 24 hours, taking the total recovery rate at around 98.25 per cent which is the highest since March 2020 and total recoveries data reached 3,38,00,925.

Youth dies in police custody in Uttar Pradesh's Kasganj; cops say suicide

A youth called for questioning at Kasganj police station in Kasganj district of Uttar Pradesh in a kidnapping case died in custody. According to police, Altaf, 21, had strangulated himself using a string from his jacket hood in the washroom of the police lock-up.

First Indian layman to be conferred sainthood

Delhi air pollution: AQI remains in 'very poor' category, may worsen over next two days

Delhi’s air quality has remained unchanged in the ‘very poor’ category with the overall AQI at 360 on Thursday, according to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR). The AQI forecasting agency under the Ministry of Earth Sciences said that air quality in the national capital and its neighbouring cities may worsen in the next two days.
