Wasn't even in service that time: Sameer Wankhede disassociates from sister-in-law's pending drugs case

Responding to the allegations made by Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik over his sister-in-law Harshada Dinanath Redkar's involvement in the drug business, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede on Monday said that he was not even in the service when the case was registered.

Chhattisgarh: CRPF jawan may have opened fire on colleagues due to 'emotional stress'; investigations underway

Jawan who opened fire killing four of his colleagues may have been suffering from emotional stress, leading to sudden psychological disbalance, the CRPF said on Monday. The alleged fratricidal incident was reported in the wee hours today in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district. The accused, constable Reetesh Ranjan, was "overpowered" by fellow troopers at Lingalapalli camp in the Sukma district of the south Bastar region soon after the shootout. As per preliminary information, Ranjan fired at his colleagues with his service weapon, an AK-47 rifle.

Fisherman killed in firing off Gujarat coast: FIR against 10 Pakistan maritime security personnel
