Party decides who contests from where: CM Adityanath ahead of UP polls

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday said he will contest the forthcoming assembly polls if his party decides so. Adityanath is currently a member of the UP Legislative Council. Asked if he will contest the assembly polls early next year, the BJP leader told reporters here, "I have always contested elections and I will contest from wherever the party will say."

Bharat Biotech's partner seeks Covaxin approval in US for children

Bharat Biotech's US partner Ocugen has announced that it had asked the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for Emergency Use Authorisation (EUA) of Covaxin for children below 18. Taking to Twitter, Dr. Raches Ella, Bharat Biotech's clinical lead for COVID-19 vaccines said, "We are pleased to announce our EUA filing to the US-Food and Drug Administration (FDA) through our partners- Ocugen."

India logs fresh 10,929 COVID cases, over 12,000 recoveries in 24 hours; active cases decline to 1.46 lakh

India recorded 10,929 new cases of the novel coronavirus, along with 392 deaths due to the infection in the past 24 hours. According to the data shared by the Union Health Ministry on Saturday, the country saw a total of 12,509 discharges in the last 24 hours, taking the total recovery rate at around 98.23 per cent which is the highest since March 2020 and total recoveries data reached 3,37,37,468.
