Following an order by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) issued on Friday, cinema halls, multiplexes and theatres in the national capital are slated to reopen today with 100 percent capacity. Apart from this the order also raised the number of people allowed to attend weddings and last rites from 100 to 200.
NCP leader and senior Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik has claimed that Narcotics Control Bureau's (NCB) Mumbai Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede was the kingpin of the drugs racket running in Mumbai. The schools in Delhi have resumed physical classes from Monday (November 1) with 50 per cent attendance and strict adherence to Covid-19 guidelines. Delhi's Deputy CM and Education Minister Manish Sisodia visited schools in West Vinod Nagar of East Delhi to seek the opinion of students and teachers. "Happy that schools have reopened today especially for nursery to 8th classes. We're following all COVID protocols," Sisodia tweeted.
Ahead of upcoming festivals, the Police Commissionerate of Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Buddh Nagar has imposed Section 144 CrPC from October 31 to November 30. According to a press release, the restrictions have been imposed in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
