India reports 13,596 new COVID cases in a day; recovery rate at 98.12%

India on Monday reported 13,596 new coronavirus infections taking the total tally of COVID-19 cases to 3,40,81,315, while the active cases declined to 1,89,694, the lowest in 221 days, according to the Union Health Ministry data. The death toll climbed to 4,52,290 with 166 fresh fatalities, according to the data updated at 8 am.

Parts of Delhi waterlogged following heavy overnight rains; traffic movement affected

Incessant rains lashed the Delhi-NCR region last night which resulted in severe waterlogging in and around the national capital Monday morning. Heavy downpour also led to a dip in temperature to 21 degrees Celsius in the NCR. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), in the last 24 hours, the national capital has received 3 mm rainfall and the relative humidity was reported to be 90 per cent.

J&K: ULF claims responsibility for 11 civilian killings; asks migrant workers to leave Valley

The United Liberation Front has claimed the responsibility for killing 11 civilians, including two labourers (both migrant workers) in Jammu and Kashmir. Terrorists had shot dead two civilians and injured another in Kulgam on Sunday, the latest in the series of attacks targeting civilians.
