Arrested Pakistani terrorist conducted recce of Delhi High Court in 2011; shared information with handlers

Mohammad Ashraf, the Pakistani terrorist who was arrested by the Special Cell of Delhi Police on Tuesday from Laxmi Nagar area, has told police that he had carried out recce of High Court in 2011 before the blasts. It is, however, yet to determine whether he was involved in the blast.

Uttarakhand Power Corporation buys expensive 2.3 million units of electricity to normalize supply

In the wake of prevailing power crisis in the state, the Uttarakhand Power Corporation Ltd (UPCL) has bought expensive electricity to normalize the supply quota as per the demand. According to the UPCL administration, 2.3 million units of electricity were purchased at the rate of 7.56 paise per unit on Tuesday.

NIA arrests four terrorists in LeT-TRF raids across Jammu and Kashmir

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested four terrorists linked to Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) backed The Resistance Front (TRF). Earlier on Tuesday, the NIA had conducted raids at 16 locations across Jammu and Kashmir. The raids were conducted at locations in Shopian, Pulwama and Srinagar, in connection with a new case linked to the Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of various Tanzeems including TRF.

India logs 15,823 fresh COVID cases, over 22,000 recoveries in 24 hours; active cases decline to 2.07 lakh

India recorded new 15,823 cases of the novel coronavirus, along with 226 deaths due to the infection in the past 24 hours. According to the data shared by the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday, the country saw a total of 22,844 discharges in the last 24 hours, taking the total recovery rate at around 98.06 per cent and total recoveries to 3,33,42,901.
