Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation Election Result: The results of the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation elections will be declared on Tuesday. Polling here took place on Sunday amid tight security. According to the State Election Commission, the final voter turnout was 56.24 per cent. The polls were held after the ruling BJP removed Vijay Rupani from the Chief Minister's chair and gave Bhupendra Patel charge of the top seat recently. The BJP, with Rupani as CM, had swept six municipal corporations, municipalities and a majority of districts and taluka panchayats.

Punjab CM Channi to visit Jaipur today, have lunch with Rajasthan CM Gehlot

Newly appointed Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi will be reaching Jaipur today to meet his Rajasthan counterpart CM Ashok Gehlot. Gehlot will be hosting a lunch for Channi at his residence, said sources, adding that it will also be attended by all Rajasthan ministers. Channi is scheduled to leave during the afternoon.

Lakhimpur violence: 18 arrested in Meerut after cops sustain burn injuries amid protests

Channi meets Punjab Governor; hands over memorandum to repeal farm laws

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Monday said that he along with the state's ministers met Governor Banwarilal Purohit and gave him the memorandum to repeal the three farm laws. Channi along with his cabinet colleagues submitted a memorandum on vital farmers' issues to Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit at Raj Bhawan and reiterated the need to urgently review and repeal the three farm laws which have caused resentment amongst farmers, as per the Chief Minister Office.
