Central health team conducts door-to-door inspection in UP's Firozabad, holds meeting with officials

Amid deaths of children due to suspected dengue and viral fever in Uttar Pradesh's Firozabad, the five-member Central team of the Health Ministry on Friday conducted a door-to-door inspection and made people aware of the do's and dont's to curb the spread of dengue in the district.

Climate change to have most affect in 100 districts of THESE states in India: Study

All 612 districts in India are vulnerable to climate change, but 100 districts, mostly in the eastern part of the country, are most vulnerable, a study said. The study was carried out by the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore along with IIT Mandi and IIT Guwahati and supported by the Department of Science and Technology.

1984 anti-Sikh riots: SC refuses to grant interim bail on health grounds to Sajjan Kumar

The Supreme Court on Friday dismissed the plea of former Congress leader Sajjan Kumar, who is serving life imprisonment in an 1984 anti-Sikh riots case, seeking interim bail on health grounds. The apex court perused the medical records of Kumar and observed that he has been examined by doctors at a government hospital here and his condition is stated to be stable and improving.
