The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for the national capital for Saturday, predicting light rain or thundershowers. The IMD has also issued a green alert for Sunday and yellow alert from Monday to Thursday.

The Supreme Court on Friday dismissed the plea of former Congress leader Sajjan Kumar, who is serving life imprisonment in an 1984 anti-Sikh riots case, seeking interim bail on health grounds. Connecting the Delhi Legislative Assembly to Red Fort, a tunnel-like structure was discovered on Thursday. Speaking to news agency ANI, Delhi Legislative Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel said that the tunnel was used by the Britishers to avoid reprisal while moving freedom fighters. "When I became an MLA in 1993, there was hearsay about a tunnel present here that goes till Red Fort and I tried to search for its history.
