India to host International Climate Summit 2021 today, focus on hydrogen power

India will host a key conference as part of the International Climate Summit (ICS) 2020-21 today. The aim is to build a dialogue for India's transition to clean energy. ICS 2021 is an initiative by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Environment Committee, that has partnered with Invest India. It is one of the world's most awarded investment promotion agencies and a co-organiser for the hybrid event, slated to be held today.

India logs 45,352 fresh COVID-19 cases, 366 deaths in 24 hours; recovery rate stands at 97.45%

India recorded 45,352 new cases of the novel coronavirus, along with 366 deaths due to the infection in the past 24 hours. According to the data shared by the Union Health Ministry on Friday, the country saw a total of 34,791 discharges in the last 24 hours, taking the total recovery rate at around 97.45 per cent and total recoveries to 3,20,63,616.

Mission Uttar Pradesh: BJP to organise 'prabudh varg sammelan' to reach out to intellectuals

After Mayawati's Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) announced to hold conferences of intellectuals in Uttar Pradesh in the run up to next year's assembly elections, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) too has announced that it will organise a series of conferences for the 'enlightened class' across the state. The saffron party said that conferences will be organised in all 403 assembly constituencies, beginning September 5.

Mumbai: Suspicious boat sighted near Bhuigaon beach in Vasai West

A suspicious small barge type vessel was sighted off the Bhuigaon beach in Mumbai's Vasai West on Thursday. The local police were alerted by the locals and the Coast Guard officials were later notified by the Vasai West beach in Mumbai. According to reports, a probe has been launched to identify the boat.
