As many as 18 children tested positive for COVID-19 at a children's home in Maharashtra's Mankhurd, an eastern suburb of Mumbai. They were found infected with the virus in three days, a civic official said on Sunday. The flood situation in Assam worsened on Sunday with over 2.58 lakh people affected across 14 districts, an official bulletin said. According to the daily flood report of the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), more than 2,58,100 persons were affected by floods in Barpeta, Biswanath, Bongaigaon, Chirang, Dhemaji, Dibrugarh, Golaghat, Jorhat, Kamrup, Lakhimpur, Majuli, Nagaon, Sivasagar and Tinsukia districts.
