The Indian Railways was forced to stop operations of several trains due to the second Covid wave in the country. This was done to stop the spread of the virus and maintain. However, with cases coming down significantly, railways have not only resumed the services of several trains but also announced some special trains for passengers. These trains will start running from July 5.

India reports 43,071 new COVID cases, over 52,000 recoveries in 24 hours, 35 cr vaccinated
India recorded 43,071 new cases of the novel coronavirus, along with 955 deaths due to the infection in the past 24 hours. According to the data shared by the Union Health Ministry on Sunday, the country saw a total of 52,299 discharges in the last 24 hours, taking the total recovery to 2,96,58,078. The total active cases of COVID-19 in India have now mounted to 4,85,350, the data showed. The total death toll in the country is now at 4,02,005. The first death due to Covid-19 pandemic in India was reported last year in March.

Delhi govt may allow reopening of stadiums, sports complexes from July 5, say sources
In view of the significant improvement in the COVID-19 situation in the national capital, the Delhi government is likely to allow further relaxations such as reopening of stadiums and sports complexes from July 5, sources claimed on Saturday. The relaxations which have been announced so far are set to continue till 5 am on Monday. A fresh order by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) on the extension of prohibited and restricted activities is yet to be issued.
