Pune chemical plant fire: Search ops resume; firm owner summoned

Authorities resumed search operation to look for any more victims at a chemical plant here on Tuesday, a day after a massive fire broke out in the premises, and also summoned the firm's owner to ascertain what kind of materials were being used there, officials said.

Over 24.65 cr COVID-19 vaccine doses provided to States, UTs: Centre

The Centre has provided more than 24 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses to States and Union Territories to date, informed the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Tuesday. "More than 24 crores (24,65,44,060) vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far, through Government of India (free of cost channel) and through direct state procurement category and of this, the total consumption, including wastages, is 23,47,43,489 doses (as per data available at 8 am today)," it said.

Uttar Pradesh lifts corona curfew in all 75 districts

The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has completely lifted the day curfew in all 75 districts. According to a statement issued by Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Information, Navneet Sehgal on Tuesday morning, curfew restrictions will remain in place in all districts from 7 pm to 7 am. "There are now less than 600 active cases in all the districts and hence the day curfew is being lifted. Only 797 new cases have been reported in the past 24 hours," he said.

Liquor mafia in UP to pay compensation to kin of victims

But what is the proportion of vaccines they gave to private hospitals in few days when that policy was in force? Maybe 1-2 per cent. They have corrected it now."
