The Delhi Metro resumed services on Monday after a hiatus of nearly three weeks in view of the improved Covid situation in the national capital, but with 50 per cent seating capacity and no provision for standing travel for commuters, officials said. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) services were fully suspended since May 20 in view of the Covid-induced lockdown, which was first imposed on April 19 and then successively extended by the city government.

Covaxin to be given only to second dose beneficiaries in 18-44 category: Delhi govt to private centres
Over 2 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in Uttar Pradesh till now
Uttar Pradesh has administered over two crore COVID-19 vaccine doses till now with over 30 lakh jabs given to beneficiaries in the 18-44 age group, the state government said on Sunday. So far, 1,66,27,059 people have received the first dose of vaccine while 36,27,433 have received both doses, it said.

UP: Yogi Adityanath govt to revise aid being given to Covid orphans
In yet another gesture towards children who lost their parents due to the Covid pandemic, UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath has upwardly revised the help being given to children whose guardian's income is below Rs 2 lakh per year. "For the legal or natural guardian, the annual income of Rs two lakh limit is very low, hence should be increased," the chief minister has directed officials.
