Delhi unlock: Teams to be deployed to ensure Covid protocols are followed at liquor shops

Teams will be deployed to ensure that all COVID-related protocols are followed and a close watch will be maintained on the liquor shops which are set to to reopen after a gap of over one and half months on Monday, officials said. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday announced various relaxations including opening of markets, malls and standalone shops in Delhi from Monday.

Pharma company in Malta proposes to supply upto 60 mn Sputnik V doses, Haryana govt examining criteria

As India ramps up vaccine production and states float tenders for acquiring additional jabs to speed up the inoculation drive in the country and fight pandemic, the Haryana government on Saturday informed that an international pharma company has given an expression of interest to provide upto 60 million doses of Russia's Sputnik V vaccine at a cost of Rs 1,120 per dose.

Private hospitals received over 1.20 crore doses of Covid vaccines in May: Centre

The Health Ministry on Saturday said that private hospitals have received over 1.20 crore doses of anti-coronavirus vaccines in May. A large number of private hospitals that had a contract with Serum Institute of India and Bharat Biotech have been supplied with Covishield and Covaxin doses respectively, it said in a statement.
