ED arrests RJD MP Amarendra Dhari Singh in fertiliser Scam

The Enforcement Directorate has arrested RJD MP Amarendra Dhari Singh in connection with a money laundering case probe linked to an alleged fertiliser scam. A businessman, Singh is a member of the Rajya Sabha from Bihar.

124-year-old woman administered Covid jab in J&K's Baramulla: officials

A 124-year-old woman from Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir was among over 9,000 persons who were administered COVID-19 vaccine in the union territory on Wednesday, officials said, but did not provide any proof of her age. A total of 9,289 persons, including healthcare and frontline workers, were vaccinated against the disease on Wednesday across 20 districts of Jammu and Kashmir, they said, adding so far 33,58,004 jabs have being administered in the UT.

Delhi likely to receive light rainfall

The national capital is likely to receive light rain on Thursday, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said. The minimum temperature settled at 24. 4 degrees Celsius, three notches below normal, it said. The relative humidity recorded at 8.30 am was 65 per cent.

India logs 1.34 lakh new Covid cases, 2,887 deaths in last 24 hours, lowest fatalities in 35 days

India on Thursday reported 1,34,154 fresh Covid-19 infections in 24 hours, taking the caseload to 28,440,988, as per Health Ministry data. Fresh COVID cases continued to fall as it has been seven days since cases have not breached the 200,000-mark.
