Karnataka: 5 COVID-19 patients die in Hubballi hospital, kin allege oxygen shortage

As many as five patients suffering from Covid-19 and under intensive care at Shri Bhanji D Khimji Lifeline Hospital died on Tuesday allegedly due to shortage of oxygen. The patients reportedly died within a span of one and a half hours, starting at 3 pm.

Delhi records 338 deaths; positivity rate below 30 per cent: Health department

The national capital recorded 338 COVID-19 deaths and 19,953 cases in a day with a positivity rate of 26.73 percent, according to the health bulletin issued by the Delhi health department on Wednesday morning. The department could not release the document, which contains important figures reflecting the coronavirus situation in the city, on Tuesday night, and said, “we are also looking into the reasons why it was delayed”.

India records 3,82,315 new COVID cases; 3,780 deaths in past 24 hours

India on Monday recorded 3,82,315 new cases of the novel coronavirus, along with 3,780 deaths due to the infection. According to the data shared by the Union Health Ministry, the country saw a total of 3,38,439 discharges in the last 24 hours, taking the total recovery toll to 1,69,51,731. The total cases of COVID-19 in India have now mounted to 2,06,65,148, with 34,87,229 active cases, the data showed. The total death toll in the country is now at 2,26,188. A total of 16,04,94,188 people have so far been vaccinated against COVID-19 in India.

Chamoli cloud burst: Situation under control now, report of damage being compiled, says official
