The administration issued a show-cause notice to a private hospital in this Uttar Pradesh district on Monday for alleged irregularities in the admission of patients, officials said. A team of officials conducted a raid at the Lee Crest hospital in Vasundhara and detected irregularities in the admission of patients, they added. The action was taken following the orders of Senthil Pandian, the nodal officer designated by the Uttar Pradesh government for COVID-19 management.

BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari's convoy attacked after Nandigram victory, office sets on fire
Tension prevailed in Nadigram a day after the Bharatiya Janata Party alleged that its leader Suvendu Adhikari's convoy was attacked in Haldia and one of its offices in Nandigram was set on fire allegedly by Trinamool Congress workers. The saffron party claimed that TMC workers resorted to violence follwing Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's defeat at the hands of Adhikari. Mamata lost to her ex-aide by a margin of 1,956 votes.
