Covid-19: Vaccination of people above 18 in may be delayed: Karnataka Health Minister

Vaccination of people above 18 years of age, which was supposed to start from May 1, may be delayed as the vaccines have not yet arrived, Karnataka Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar said on Friday.

Ban on social, political activities in containment zones in UP

UP chief secretary R K Tiwari issued a government order asking the districts administration to ensure compliance. Tiwari said weddings should be permitted with not more than 50 guests and the last rites must not have more than 20 people.

Telangana adds 7,646 new COVID-19 cases, 53 deaths take toll

Telangana reported7,646 fresh COVID-19 cases taking the tally to over 4.35 lakh while the toll stood at2,261 with 53 more casualties. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of cases with 1,441, followed by Medchal Malkajgiri (631) and Rangareddy (484), a government bulletin said on Friday providing details as of 8 PM on April 29.

Former AG Soli Sorabjee succumbs to COVID 19

Former Attorney General and Constitutional law expert Soli Sorabjee succumbed to Covid 19 on Friday morning. His family informed of his demise.  The 91-year-old had served as the Attorney General for India from 1989-90 and then from 1998-2004.

Agra cops ‘snatch’ oxygen cylinder from man, mother dies after 2 hours, probe ordered
