49 staff members, students at Himachal Pradesh boarding school test COVID-19 positive

Amid the spike in COVID-19 cases in Himachal Pradesh, staff and students of another boarding school have tested positive for coronavirus, officials said on Monday. A total of 49 staff members and students of Pinegrove School near Dharampur town in Solan district tested positive for the virus. With them, the total number of positive cases in its two schools located in the Solan district rose to 150.

COVID-19: Maharashtra declares 6 states as places of sensitive origin

Struggling to contain the huge COVID-19 surge, Maharashtra has declared six states, including Delhi and the NCR region, as places of "sensitive origin" in a bid to stop the influx of other variants of coronavirus into the state. Maharashtra Chief Secretary Sitaram Kunte in an order issued on Sunday declared Kerala, Goa, Gujarat, Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR), Rajasthan and Uttarakhand as places of "sensitive origin".

Delhi: DRDO's Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Covid-19 hospital with 1,000 beds to reopen today

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) will reopen the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Covid hospital near Dhaula Kuan in Delhi on Monday. The hospital was closed in the first week of February after drop in Covid-19 cases.
