Maharashtra: 3 workers killed, 4 injured as wall collapses at powerloom factory in Thane

Three labourers were killed and four others injured after a wall collapsed at a powerloom factory in Bhiwandi town of Maharashtra's Thane district, officials said. The mishap occurred around 4.30 pm on Friday at Tukaram Compound in Katai area, they said.

India records 2.34 lakh new COVID-19 cases, 1,341 deaths in 24 hours; active cases nears 17 lakh

India reported 2,34,692 Covid-19 cases on Saturday, the highest single-day spike so far since the pandemic broke out, according to Health Ministry. Maharashtra alone accounts for 27.15 per cent of these cases.
