COVID-19: Uttarakhand government restricts entry of people in state secretariat

Amid the rise in COVID-19 cases in the state, the Uttarakhand government has restricted the entry of people in the state secretariat.The order was issued by the Chief Secretary of the state Om Prakash today said that only ministers and staff will be allowed to enter the secretariat.

Bhopal: Mismatch between govt's COVID-19 death count claim, crematorium records

Last rites of 108 people who died of coronavirus in Bhopal were performed on Thursday, a figure vastly different from the Madhya Pradesh government's claim on COVID-19 fatalities that day, according to records maintained by crematoriums and graveyards in the state capital and officials working there. The government had claimed that only eight people had died of the infection in Bhopal district in the last 24 hours (on Thursday).

Amid spike in COVID-19 cases, over 5,500 fined for not wearing face mask in Noida, Greater Noida

Over 5,500 people were fined for not wearing face masks in public places in Noida and Greater Noida on Friday, even as Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissioner Alok Singh hit the ground to ensure compliance with COVID-19 protocols, officials said. As many as 5,525 people were penalised till 10 pm and Rs 6.21 lakh collected from them in fines, a police spokesperson said.

Complete lockdown on Sunday in Uttar Pradesh, massive sanitisation to be carried out

UP lockdown: The Uttar Pradesh government has imposed weekend lockdown in view of rising Covid-19 cases in the state. Essential services, however, will be allowed during the restrictions. The restrictions will come into effect at 8 AM Saturday night and remain in place till Monday 7 AM.
