Cancel or hold online exams for 10th, 12th students: PMK

PMK founder S. Ramadoss on Saturday demanded cancellation of the 10th and 12th standard annual exams conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the 12th class exam to be held by the Tamil Nadu board as Covid-19 is spreading fast in the state.

Protesting farmers block KMP expressway in Haryana for 24 hours. Check traffic diversions

Intensifying their protest against the three farm laws, farmers blocked the Kundli–Manesar–Palwal expressway at some places in Haryana on Saturday. The blockade started at 8 am and would last 24 hours. The Samyukta Kisan Morcha, an umbrella body of protesting farmer unions spearheading the agitation against the agriculture-related legislations, on Friday gave a call for a 24-hour blockade of the KMP expressway.

At 1,45,384, India records biggest ever single-day COVID-19 spike; death toll at 1,68,436

India reports 1,45,384 new COVID19 cases, 77,567 discharges, and 794 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per the Union Health Ministry. Of these, Maharashtra reporting 58,993 cases, Chhattisgarh 10,662 cases, Uttar Pradesh 9,695, Delhi 8,521 cases and Karnataka 7,955 within a span of 24 hours.
