New Zealand bans entry of India travellers for two weeks amid Covid-19 surge

New Zealand government has suspended entry for all travellers from India for about two weeks following a surge in coronavirus cases in the South Asian country. The entry ban is also applicable on New Zealand's own citizens who are travelling from India to the island country.

COVID-19: Only emergency surgeries allowed at Chandigarh PGIMER, night curfew timing revised

UP: Night curfew in Lucknow, Varanasi, Kanpur from today as Covid cases surge

 The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has decided to impose night curfew in Lucknow, Kanpur and Varanasi from Thursday. The curfew will come into effect on April 8 and will remain effective till April 16. The night curfew will be enforced from 10.p.m to 6.a.m.

PM Modi to interact with CMs over COVID-19 situation, vaccination drive today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with Chief Ministers of all states and UTs virtually on Thursday to discuss the ongoing Covid-19 situation and vaccination strategy in the country. The meeting comes in the midst of steep rise in fresh infections. The meeting will take place at around 6:30 PM.   PM Modi’s last interaction with the Chief Ministers was on March 17. He had expressed concern over the rise in Covid-19 cases in parts of the country and called for quick and decisive steps to check the emerging second peak.
