New labour codes unlikely to be implemented from April 1: Report

The government has deferred the implementation of four labour codes that were enacted by the Parliament. The four labour codes are -- Industrial Relations Code, 2020; the Code on Social Security, 2020; the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020; Code on Wages.

'Are you above the law...': Bombay HC rebukes Param Bir Singh

Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh on Wednesday had to face some tough questions from the Bombay High Court which heard the former top cop's petition against Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. Param Bir Singh, in his petition, had claimed that Deshmukh had asked arrested police officer Sachin Vaze to collect Rs 100 crore monthly from bars and restaurants.

Gujrat: CBI court discharges 3 cops in Ishrat Jahan encounter case

A special CBI court on Wednesday discharged police officers G L Singhal, Tarun Barot and Anaju Chaudhary in the 2004 Ishrat Jahan alleged fake encounter case. Special CBI judge V R Raval allowed the discharge applications of Singhal, Barot (now retired) and Chaudhary.

Delhi to Meerut in 50 minutes! Delhi-Meerut Expressway opens for public on April 1

The 82-km phase 2 and 4 of the Delhi-Meerut Expressway (DME) will open for the public on April 1. The expressway will cut the travel time between the two cities from two hours to about 50 minutes.

COVID-19: 5 states account for over 79 per cent of active cases

Russia's Sputnik V Covid vaccine, awaiting approval in India, claims 91% efficacy
