Passengers not allowed to charge phones, laptops in trains at night: Railways

The Railways has decided to disallow passengers from using mobile charging stations onboard trains between 11 pm and 5 am as a precautionary measure against spread of fire, senior officials said on Tuesday.

UP schools shut till April 4 amid COVID-19 case surge

With the rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in the state, the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has extended the closure of all schools up to Class 8 to April 4. Earlier, the Yogi Adityanath government had ordered the closure of schools for students up to Class 8 till March 31. The new instructions were given after a late-night meeting on Tuesday, chaired by the chief minister. The chief minister has also ordered officials to increase the number of Covid-19 testing in the state.

Delhi: 2 killed, 2 injured as speeding truck runs over footpath in Kashmere Gate area

In a tragic incident, two people were killed after a truck ran over a footpath in Delhi. Two others have also been injured in the incident, which was reported early on Wednesday, in the Kashmere Gate area. One of the deceased, identified as Bahram Khan, was riding a scooter at the time of the accident. One other person sleeping on the footpath died following the accident.

Arms recovered in Assam's Kokrajhar ahead of PM Modi's visit
