Delhi most polluted capital city in world: Report

The high levels of air pollution in Delhi are a matter of concern. According to a report by Swiss organisation, IQAir, India's capital is the most polluted capital city in the world. It said that although Delhi's air quality improved by nearly 15 per cent from 2019 to 2020, the city still ranked as the 10th most polluted city in the world and the most polluted capital.

Karnataka Waqf Board bans loudspeakers in mosques, dargahs from 10 pm to 6 am

In an order with far-reaching implications, the Karnataka State Board of Auqaf has issued a circular to all the mosques and dargahs (mausoleums) in the state not to use loudspeakers between 10 pm and 6 am, saying the ambient noise level around these structures has "deleterious effects on human health and the psychological well-being of people".
