The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday carried out raids at multiple locations in Kolkata and Asansol districts of West Bengal in connection with the coal scam. The agency sleuths also carried out searches at the remises of Amit Agarwal, a close aide of key accused Anup Majhi alias Lala.
To contain the surge in COVID-19 cases, the Gujarat government on Tuesday decided to increase the night curfew timings in four major cities of the state by two hours. The curfew will now remain in force in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara and Rajkot from 10 pm to 6 am, an official statement said. The curfew timings earlier were from 12 am to 6 am. The decision was taken on Tuesday in the core committee meeting of the coronavirus task-force headed by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani.
The Antilia explosive case has taken a most curious turn. Two vehicles were used, one vehicle filled with gelatin sticks was parked outside Mukesh Ambani’s residence Antilia, and the other vehicle was used as a getaway car. The most surprising part of this was that the vehicle that was found filled with explosives near Antilia, was parked near Mumbai Police assistant inspector Sachin Vaze’s residence for one whole week. The other getaway car belonged to Sachin Vaze’s Crime Investigation Unit.
The Shiv Sena on Tuesday said Belgaum should be declared as a Union Territory, alleging that atrocities on Marathi-speaking people by pro-Kannada outfits were continuing there. An editorial in the Sena mouthpiece 'Saamana' alleged that a pro-Kannada organisation recently beat up Marathi people in Belgaum, removed Marathi boards from shops there and also targeted pro-Marathi social media users. The Karnataka police were also harassing Marathi people, it claimed.

The work to fill the foundation for construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya commenced with Vaidic Pujan at Shri Ram Janmbhoomi on Monday.
