The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested Mumbai Police officer Sachin Waze Saturday night after questioning him for 12 hours over the recovery of an explosive-laden vehicle near the residence of industrialist Mukesh Ambani, an agency spokesperson said. Waze was summoned to the agency's Mumbai office at Cumballa Hill in south Mumbai around 11.30 am to record his statement. There was no official update on him throughout the day.

Jharkhand for 75 per cent reservation for local youths in private sector jobs
The Hemant Soren government in Jharkhand has decided to reserve 75 percent of the jobs in the private sector in the state with a salary of up to Rs 30000 for the local people, a senior official said on Saturday. The government may announce it on Monday in the state Assembly, he said.

Delhi records 419 coronavirus cases; death toll reaches 10,939
Delhi recorded as many as 419 fresh coronavirus cases on Saturday. With this, the tally of COVID-19 cases in the national capital has reached over 6.43 lakh, while the death toll mounted to 10,939. Three fatalities have been recorded in the last 24 hours, according to the latest bulletin issued by the Delhi health department.
