Mukesh Ambani Antilia abandoned car case to be probed by NIA

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) will probe the mystery surrounding an explosives-laden SUV abandoned outside Mukesh Ambani's home Antilia. Ambani is the chairman of Reliance Industries. The case was being probed by the Maharashtra Police.

Trivendra Singh Rawat to be replaced? Uttarakhand CM to meet BJP leadership in Delhi today

We have highest respect for women, says Supreme Court while hearing minor rape victim's case

"We have the highest respect for women," a Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice SA Bobde observed on Monday and said the reputation of the judiciary is in the hands of its lawyers, the "Bar". The observations by the bench, also comprising Justices AS Bopanna and V Ramasubramanian, were made while it was hearing a case of a 14-year-old pregnant rape victim seeking a nod to abort the foetus of almost 26 weeks.

Supreme Court to hear all states in Maratha Reservation case, day-to-day hearing from March 15

The Supreme Court on Monday decided that all the states will be heard in a case related to Maratha reservation. A Constitution Bench of the apex court asked the states to file their reply on whether reservation could be allowed beyond 50 per cent. The top is slated to recommence the day-to-day hearing in the case from March 15.

Bengal: 53-year-old man thrashed for sheltering, feeding stray dogs

In a gruesome incident, a 53-year-old man was beaten up by his neighbours in West Bengal. According to the details, the incident took place in Sonarpur, where the man, identified as Rajat Mondal used to give shelter and feed stray dogs at his home. Mondal was earlier threatened by his neighbours for sheltering and feeding stray dogs. He was even thrashed by some locals last month, following which he suffered a fracture in his right hand. Mondal used to stay in Patuli earlier but was forced to leave the place after the locals objected to his feeding and sheltering sick dogs at home.
