Karnataka Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi caught in sex scandal; denies claim, terms CD fake

In fresh trouble for the BS Yediyurappa government in Karnataka, Major and Medium Water Resources Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi has allegedly been caught up in a sex scandal. A CD, showing the minister in a compromising position with a woman, was released to news channels on Tuesday. This comes just ahead of the month-long Budget session in Karnataka and at a time when the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is preparing to face elections in five states/UTs. The CD was released by social activist Dinesh Kallahalli after he filed a complaint with Bengaluru City police commissioner Kamal Pant.

Farmers to block Western Peripheral Expressway on 100th day of protest

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) has announced that farmers will block the Western Peripheral Expressway or Kundli–Manesar–Palwal (KMP) Expressway on March 6 as their agitation against the farm laws completes 100 days. According to a statement issued by the Morcha, farmers will block the expressway for 5 hours between 11 AM and 4 PM. Today is the 97th day of the protest.

DTCP seals 150 illegal commercial establishments in Gurugram

The department of town and country planning (DTCP) has begun a massive drive against the commercial establishments that were operating in the residential buildings illegally in Gurugram. On Tuesday, the DTCP has sealed over 150 commercial establishments and demolish two illegal under-construction buildings at U1 lane in DLF Phase-3 in Gurugram. People were running saloons, property dealer shops, restaurants, medical shops and grocery shops in the area.
