Amid raids at various places in Punjab, Punjabi actor turned activist Deep Sidhu, who is wanted in connection with the Red Fort violence on January 26, on Sunday uploaded a video on his verified Facebook account. In the video, he is seen talking in Punjabi and claiming he has not done anything wrong.

Maratha king Shivaji was 'Kannadiga', claims Karnataka Deputy CM

Slamming Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackrey for raking up the inter-state border row, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Govind Karjol on Sunday claimed that the Maratha king Chhatrapti Shivaji was a 'Kannadiga'. "Thackrey does not know the history. Shivaji's forefather Belliyappa was a Kannadiga from Soratur in Karnataka's Gadag district. When drought struck Gadag, he (Belliyappa) migrated to Maharashtra, and Shivaji was the fourth generation of his family," Karjol told reporters in Karnataka's Belagavi.

Took political support for farmers' movement only after democracy was mocked: Rakesh Tikait

Tikait made the remark as hundreds of farmers reached a key protest site on the Delhi-Meerut highway in Ghazipur on the national capital's border with Uttar Pradesh where they danced to upbeat tunes, creating a festive atmosphere as more supporters continued to pour in.

UP police issues notice to 220 tractor owners; Opposition says move to threaten farmers
